RX Method and Microsoft SharePoint
Microsoft SharePoint
Microsoft SharePoint is a widely used Web based product which is very successful in companies of various sizes. Citing Wikipedia (Link): Microsoft SharePoint is a web application platform developed by Microsoft. It is designed as a centralized replacement for multiple web applications and supports various combinations of enterprise website requirements. It is typically associated with web content management and document management systems.
Integration
In terms of functionality RX Method application can leverage SharePoint applications by integration of an RX Method appliction. The following integration solutions are availabe:
  1. Use a simple http link to the RXMethod application
  2. Insert the RXMethod application with a Page Viewer Web Part element in Sharepoint
  3. Use the Business Data Catalog (see : Business Datat Catalog Architecture )
  4. Packaging RXMethod as a Sharepoint application or Web Part
The first two solutions are simple and out of the box. They only need an Active Directory set up with specified roles according to the roles used in RXMethod.
Solutions 3 to 4 need additional development according to the customers specifications.
